I'm forever driving over the Barwon Heads bridge and marvelling at this scene with the pier, bluff and river running out. The pier is usually packed with fisherpeople from first light, and on still mornings, the river is like a mirror. What is shadowbox framing?
Our Australian, hand-made shadowbox frames (2cm x 4cm deep) are crafted from premium Oak, Black, or White timber to create a dramatic, sophisticated gallery effect. Internal spacers create a three-dimensional "box" between the print and the UV-resistant Shinkolite Perspex, providing a museum-grade environment.
What is classic framing?
The "Classic" framing style offers a timeless, professional aesthetic found in homes and galleries worldwide. Each print is expertly mounted to 5mm acid-free foamcore and set flush against UV-resistant Shinkolite Perspex for a sleek, crisp presentation. Encased in a premium 2cm x 4cm deep, hand-made frame, this style balances archival quality with a traditional finish.

Within Australia
Delivery for unframed prints usually takes up to 1 week for customers in major Australian cities. For framed prints and orders going to remote locations, delivery can take up to 2 weeks.
Please note: Delivery times are in addition to the time needed to print, frame and pack your order.
International orders
We only offer unframed prints to international customers. Frames are bulky and delicate, and it's simply not feasible to ship fully framed prints abroad.
Delivery services
We use a mix of services including Australia Post, Pack & Send, Aramex and others, depending on the order.
Tracking
Tracking numbers are sent via email as soon as the order leaves your studio.

Smallest - A4 - 21 x 30cm
Small - A3 - 30 x 42cm
Medium - A2 - 42 x 59cm
Large - A1 - 59 x 84cm
Larger - A0 - 84 x 119cm
Massive - BO - 100 x 141cm
Border - framed prints:
Every framed print includes a scaling white border. For our larger sizes, a 5cm border is included around the edge of the photograph, while smaller sizes have a smaller border. This border sits within the dimensions of your selected size. This border around the photograph ensures the gallery-style look, helping the photograph breathe within the frame and pop off the wall.
Border - unframed prints:
Unframed prints will have a smaller, 1cm white border around the photograph. This 1cm is included within the dimensions of your selected size.

Print-only purchases
Non-framed print orders are gently rolled with a protective tissue layer and secured inside extra-thick, heavy-duty mailing tubes (minimum 3mm wall thickness). This rolling technique ensures maximum safety while making the print easy to unroll upon arrival. This is a great option for anyone wanting to do their own framing with a local framer.
Certified original
Each print from Surf Coast Prints is stamped with the official SCP stamp, and features a small signature from the photographer in. the bottom right corner of your print. These marks mean you're getting a real piece of art from a real local artist.
